ARB Sahara Bar for Mitsubishi Pajero NS

To add to the already extensive range of accessories available for the Mitsubishi Pajero NS, ARB has recently released a Sahara bar as a stylish and innovative protection option for vehicle owners.

Featuring ARB’s renowned five fold upswept and tapered wing design, the new Sahara bar is exceptionally strong and will provide your vehicle with a massive amount of frontal protection. The bar also features a split pan, which further increases the strength of the bar while facilitating airflow to the engine.

The bar’s vehicle-specific design ensures that air bag functionality is not adversely affected following fitment, and has also been engineered to withstand the extra stresses placed on the bar during vehicle recovery. Warn winch models from 8000lb to 9500lb can be selected depending on your individual requirements, while the bar is also suitable for a range of IPF driving lights.

For those thinking of heading off road, tough 2mm steel stone guards under the centre pan and wings will assist in protecting the undercarriage from rocks and road debris, while the original recovery points under the centre pan are retained for use in recovery situations. Provision for CB aerials includes 16mm plugs for added aesthetics when aerials are not fitted.

This particular Sahara bar offers Pajero owners the added option of configuring the bar either with or without the 76mm polished centre tube available for all ARB Sahara bars. Whatever option you take, all models feature combination turn signal/running lights in the wings and quality urethane buffers and fog light inserts. Finished in a durable millennium grey powder coat with the option to colour code, an ARB Sahara bar will provide your vehicle with stylish and durable frontal protection.

ARB has a vast array of other accessories designed for the Pajero, including deluxe bull bars, rear step tow bars, ARB Air Lockers, and Old Man Emu suspension systems. For further information and a full product list, please visit your nearest stockist or contact us.

The number of driven wheels You may not know this, but the average 4x4 is really only two wheel drive. Jack one rear wheel and one front wheel off the ground, and you will note that the wheels in the air are the ones to spin, not the ones on the ground. Even if your vehicle has a rear limited slip differential, the same scenario applies. So, what can be done to help in this situation? Well, this is the reason a lot of four wheel drivers fit diff locks. A diff lock fitted to just the rear diff, means that if you have three wheels in the air, the one rear wheel on the ground is enough to continue forward motion. The wheel in the air will spin at exactly the same rate as the one on the ground.
