Despite the current financial situation, ARB, a proudly Australian owned company, is defying the odds and expanding by welcoming on board two new ARB stores, while extensive growth has also resulted in another two established stores being relocated to larger premises.
ARB Geelong, located at 157 Fyans Street in Victoria and ARB Maroochydore, situated at 1/127 Sugar Road in Queensland, are officially now open for business. Offering expert knowledge and ARB’s extensive range of products, both stores are well set up to prepare 4WDers for any off road adventure.
ARB Geelong, known formerly as Geelong 4WD Centre, is owned and operated by a third generation family synonymous with automotive services in Geelong for 75 years. ARB Maroochydore, previously operating as Northcoast 4x4 Accessories, is also an established business and renowned for their exceptional service and 4WD experience.
Further contributing to ARB’s expansion, two previously established stores have recently relocated to new premises. Having outgrown their previous locations due to customer demand, larger premises will allow each store to carry a more comprehensive product range and offer even greater service. Located at 27 Elizabeth Way in South Australia, ARB Gawler has now become ARB Elizabeth, while ARB Mackay has moved to the new address of 9 Caterpillar Drive in Paget, Queensland.
These new stores will bring even more expertise into ARB’s large network of stockists around the country, offering outstanding service by friendly and experienced staff, many of whom are 4WD enthusiasts. Stocking the complete ARB range from bull bars and protection equipment, to ARB Air Lockers and Old Man Emu suspension, ARB stores also stock a selection of other items aimed at making any off road adventure more enjoyable.

Tip:
Air Intake<br> Water and engines do not mix very well, and when they do it almost always results in bent pistons, valves and crankshaft commonly called “hydro-locking”. If you think this sounds expensive you're right. The positioning of the air intake is critical to how well a vehicle can handle a crossing. For example certain Toyota 4x4 models have their air intake directly behind the headlight, which is great to allow cold air into the engine but unfortunately is equally as great in directing water into the engine (An easy fix for this is to remove the plastic tubing from the air cleaner to the headlight when crossing water). NEVER attempt a water crossing where the water depth is above the air intake height. If you intend doing regular water crossings, its a good idea to fit a snorkel as it raises the air intake to your roof line. It doesn't mean you can use your xx4 as a submarine!
