What to buy with 10grand

July 28th, 2010 · No Comments

Hey everyone obviously I’m new here, shortly my hilux will be sold and I will be buying a patrol / maverick, I always go about this the wrong way and I end up broke and left unsatisfied with my car. So here is where I want to end up in the near future with my weekend toy.
I want something that has plenty of power but not to un reliable, thinking of 4.2 petrol efi and maybe turbo in future.
Also not looking at spending bulk cash at suspension so I was thinking I could find one already modded.
And I want to be able to drive places with out that **** box car/road noise that drives me up the wall,( accept for tyre noise, can’t help that)
so what I had in mind was a 93′ on 4.2 petrol converted to gas with a 4 inch lift and 33 or 35 inch Tyres,

What are your thoughts on this? Does it sound in reasonable? Am I on the rite track?
What else should I look out for?

Tip:

When using the 4x4's brakes hard, your vehicle’s front suspension compresses and you ‘use up’ most of its suspension travel. When braking heavily to avoid an obstacle e.g. pot hole or rut, and you cannot stop in time, release the brake pedal just prior to hitting the obstacle. This will allow the front suspension to return to its normal height and give more suspension travel when hitting the obstacle.
