Ford trucks
I have a 1993 Ford F-250 7.3 idi 2WD, and I’m converting it to a 4WD. i have a Dana 50 ifs, and most everything to put it together, but i don’t know how the leaf springs will mount to the frame. I’ve heard i need hangers and shackles on both sides of the axle, and I’ve heard that i need a hanger for the back and just the frame mounted shackle for the front. So I’m stuck and can’t figure ut which one is right. Any suggestions? Any advice is better than what i have.

Remember, a 4x4 cannot be treated like a normal car when cornering. The 4WD will roll over much easier than a car while cornering, due to the higher center of gravity. This applies to gravel and paved roads equally. Although a four wheel drive vehicle generally has better traction on gravel than a car, when safe cornering speeds are exceeded the four wheel drive will tend to roll earlier than a car.
