Are there any Terracan or Mk2 Pajero owners running 265 / 75 / 16′s that have experienced any undue clutch, drive train and / or suspension issues?
Why I ask is that I’ve been running BFG AT 265 / 75 /16′s for close to 80,000km. I have the expected slight drop off on power. The flat spot on pull off on hills does make you slip the clutch a bit at times to get the revs up to spin the turbo has worries me a bit. The BFG’s are up for replacement soon and I’m wondering if there’s logic in actually running smaller 245 / 75 16′s. (I could look at 265 / 70 / 16′s but they’re not as easily available as the other two while overlanding)
Any thoughts on this?
I was by the way looking at replacing with Mud’s, but with the ratio of tar, gravel and sand I drive I’m probably going to go with an aggressive as possible AT. BFG’s are now just too expensive so I’m looking at Dueler 697′s, Hankook RF1′s, Maxxis AT 771 or Nankang’s FT7′s.
Any thoughts on these or other more aggressive AT’s around I could look at?
Maybe even the least aggressive AT if there’s such a thing?
