4×4 ticking noise z71 – 47isR0NI9M

Hey guys, I would really appreciate if anyone could give me and idea on possibilities of what is wrong with my truck. I have a 2007 z71 and a few days ago went to pull some buds off a pipeline. After jerking forward and back with my 4wd engaged, my front suddenly stopped pulling and all we could hear was a ticking noise in the left front. Now even without 4×4 engaged I can hear It On the road. I’m kind of new and still learning all this so I’ve been looking somewhere to ask about it, thanks
