This is the Jardine River at the old crossing towards the end of the dry season (in September). The Jardine can fluctuate in depth a lot, here the 4.2 Patrol makes it across with only 10psi in the tyres. The real concern with crossing the Jardine here is the very soft sand – if you get stuck at Nolan’s Brook (well known crossing further south on the OTL track) then you will definitely get stuck here! You also need to look out for the hole on the northern bank. Later on I’ll add more footage of what this crossing looks like in March… A lot more fun!
