Shonky Updates



Our Mission – To provide the most accurate FREE 4WD topo maps for Garmin GPS units!

Updates…

Our updates are cumulative, meaning the very latest contains everything. As a result over time the updates get larger, but never as big as the original Shonky download.

Installation…

  • Simply unzip the file to the original Shonky folder on your computer, which is usually C:\Program Files\shonkymaps\detail.
  • Overwrite existing files.
  • Plug your GPS into the computer.
  • Open MapSource.
  • Select Shonky Full Topo from the Select a Product drop down.
  • Select 1000km from the Select a Scale drop down.
  • Select the Map Tool to the left of the Zoom Tool.
  • Go to top left of the map window, hold the left mouse key down and while holding down, drag to the bottom right of the map so all of Australia is selected.
  • From the Transfer menu item select Send to Device.
  • Once MapSource has found your GPS, click the Send button.
